Overview
RPG4H, also written RPG for Humanity, is a product of Jean Clair LLC, a New York limited liability company. Jean Clair LLC operates this service and the website at rpg4h.com. Clair Hur, founder of Jean Clair LLC, is the executive contact for this product and is reachable at clair@rpg4h.com.
RPG for Humanity is a game built on short memory exercises. You fulfil orders at a trade post in space, earn in-game currency, build a base and a Pet Hotel for your animals, and defend the base from incoming asteroids. It also includes optional features for sending a game to someone you know, and collectible items.
By accessing or using RPG for Humanity, you agree to these Terms of Service.
RPG for Humanity is for general cognitive practice and entertainment. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.
Playing With or Without an Account
You can play RPG for Humanity without adding an email address. When you first play, we create an anonymous account for you and save your game progress on our servers under a random identifier, as described in our Privacy Policy.
An anonymous account that is not used is deleted. If it has no email attached, has had no activity for 30 days, and has never made a purchase, it is deleted together with its progress, in-game currency and items, and they cannot be recovered. To keep your progress, add an email address.
If you add an email address or sign in with a supported provider such as Google, your progress is attached to that account and can be used across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that occurs under it.
Reset. Using Reset in Settings permanently erases your progress, in-game currency and items. It cannot be undone.
Free and Paid Tiers
Free. RPG for Humanity is free to play. Free play includes a daily allowance of exercise rounds, and your progress is saved as described above.
Membership (paid). A paid membership, where offered, adds member features for as long as your membership is active.
Use of the Platform
You agree to use RPG for Humanity only in a lawful and respectful manner. You may not use it to abuse, harass, discriminate against, threaten, exploit, or harm others.
You may not interfere with the operation of the service, bypass access controls, attempt unauthorized access, manipulate game state or item balances, or misuse the service in a way that damages the experience for others.
Platform Content
Unless otherwise stated, the content, design, structure, exercises, text, graphics, branding, and product features made available through RPG for Humanity are owned by or licensed to RPG for Humanity.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit platform content without prior written permission, except as allowed by law.
User Contributions
You may submit responses, answers, and other content through the game. You retain ownership of your content, but you grant RPG for Humanity a limited, non-exclusive right to store, process, display, and analyze that content as necessary to operate and improve the service.
Notes and the people in them. A note you send carries a nickname for you and one for the person you send it to, and the words are meant for them. By sending one you confirm you are addressing someone you actually know and that you have their agreement to reach them this way. Do not use a note to send anything to someone who has not asked to hear from you.
Anyone with the link can open the game you send. The link contains a randomly generated code and we do not publish, list, or index it — but it is a link, so share it the way you would share anything else private. The link stops working 30 days after it is created. The note itself does not expire — it is kept for as long as you have an account, or, without one, for as long as the identifier in your browser still points at it.
The alternative tiles are generated. To build the other options shown beside your answer, the topic and your answer are sent to an AI provider. Your name, the other person’s name, your email address, and your account identifier are not sent. The tiles it returns are invented alternatives, not statements of fact about you or anyone else, and they may be wrong or odd; they are there to be guessed between, not to be believed.
We may also use anonymized or aggregated performance data to improve the exercises and overall design. We do not sell your notes, show them to anyone other than you and the person you sent them to, or use them for advertising.
Virtual Items and Currency
The game includes virtual currency and items, such as coins, scraps, Bottles, Quantum Relays, outfits and buildings, which are earned through play or purchased, and used only within RPG for Humanity.
Virtual currency and items have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be redeemed for money unless expressly stated otherwise. They are licensed to you for use in the game, not sold. They may be lost if you use Reset, or if an anonymous account is deleted after 30 days without activity as described above. We may modify, rebalance, or discontinue virtual-item features at any time.
Some virtual items may also be purchased directly for a one-time fee (for example, a pack of Bottles). These purchases are described in "Purchases, Subscriptions, and Billing" below. An account with a purchase on record is never deleted for inactivity.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, RPG for Humanity may send you reminders about the game. We ask for your permission first, and you can turn them off at any time in your device settings. Nothing in the game is lost by ignoring or turning off notifications.
Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We do not guarantee that RPG for Humanity will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create risk or harm to RPG for Humanity or other users.
Disclaimer of Warranties
RPG for Humanity is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RPG for Humanity will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service.
Purchases, Subscriptions, and Billing
RPG for Humanity offers one-time purchases of virtual items (for example, a pack of Bottles). Payments are processed by Stripe. The items are added to your balance immediately after a successful payment. One-time purchases are final and non-refundable once the items have been credited to your balance, except where a refund is required by law.
RPG for Humanity also offers paid membership billed on a recurring basis. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access to member features until that date and will not be charged again. When membership ends, member features end and your account continues on the free tier.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, unused virtual-item balances, or periods during which you did not actively play. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at clair@rpg4h.com within 14 days of the charge.
Eligibility and Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use RPG for Humanity. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement.
If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use RPG for Humanity and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page. By continuing to use the service after the revised Terms take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
